You Bacon Me Crazy

2020 bay filly- She is by Sapphire Cat, a son of Bluegrass Cat and out of stakes producing Piedras Negras by Unbridled. Sapphire Cat is unraced due to an injury received after being kicked. He has produced over $800,000 in earnings with limited starters, including Lindante ($276,000+ LTE). His foals are versatile, running 5 furlongs to 1 ¼ mile and stay sound for long careers. They also have solid minds with several retiring from the track to be kids’ horses.

Beans is out of Bless My Soup by Alphabet Soup and out of Bless My Mary by Deposit Ticket. Bless My Soup retired sound after $98,000 in earnings and 41 starts. She is currently a lesson horse in a hunter program. Alphabet Soup was a leading sire in Canada, sire of over $43 million in earnings, and sire of 39 black-type winners.

Beans is 14.1 hands and likely to be at her mature height. She is small, but she is all athleticism and grit. She is a smart, tough filly with a lot of common sense. While she has been too small for us to ride (we’re tall), she has had preparatory ground work, including lungeing, ponying, and in-hand work. She is a naturally balanced, efficient, and fluid mover. She will require a petite rider, but she could go any direction, likely excelling in eventing.
